With a drone over Tartu - an interactive circular view and a panoramic photo from behind the Tartu town hall

The city view of Tartu is usually photographed from one and the same place - from the roof of the Emajõe Business Center. I have also been there many times to take pictures and every time I wanted something more. Freedom to choose a high shooting location. The opportunity to photograph the city from above - exactly where the desire is at the moment. For example, next to the town hall tower, with a view towards the town hall square, in the direction of the rising spring sun.

Here is the view. Photographed with Jorma Suumann and Martin Raju, who are engaged in building large drones and filming aerial videos right here in Tartu. A large drone specially made for aerial photography carried a Sony A7R camera with a Canon 15mm fisheye lens into the air. The entire view is assembled from eight frames. The width of the image is 19000 px.

Thanks to the high resolution of the Sony camera, spherical views taken with it do not necessarily have to remain on the computer screen. By combining only some photos together, a very neat and sharp panoramic photo was created, which is freely suitable for prints more than two meters wide (the original width of the photo is 11,000+ px).

Such panoramic photos are really effective when printed out large, on a cover plate, framed and placed on the wall.
