Anyone who has been to the northern tip of the Kopli peninsula in Tallinn probably knows this majestic-looking limestone building. Built in the second decade of the last century as the main building of the Russian-Baltic Shipyard and soon after that, during the times of the Republic of Estonia, the building became the seat of the Tallinn Technical University. TalTechi with great symbolic meaning for Since Tallinn University of Technology was founded on the basis of Tallinn Technical University in 1936, this place can be considered the birthplace of TalTech. And if Estonian Maritime Academy Moved back to this house in 2009 and merged with TalTech in 2014, the circle came full circle. TalTech arrived home. Maybe the main building of the Technical University should be located here instead?
