The Olustvere Service and Rural Administration School is the successor of the Estonian Aleksandri School and started its activities in Olustvere in 1920. It is a manor school that has its own educational farm with 630 ha of cultivated land, its own educational industry for food production, and the school is managed by the Olustvere manor complex. All this is used for the initial practical training of the learners.
Students get initial practical training and work experience in the working environment created by the school: this way they learn to serve tourists in the manor, prepare and serve drinks, meat, bakery, vegetable and dairy products and various dishes in the educational canteen, make ceramic, glass and textile items in the manor's halls, learn farming and other agricultural work on the farm and gain experience in selling produce.
