After all, quite a lot of panoramas have been photographed in Tartu. These photos are usually taken during the day with direct sunlight or, in extreme cases, at sunrise. I wanted to photograph a different panorama. My goal was to capture the time just before sunrise - when the city's lighting was still on, but at the same time the sun was already illuminating enough that the city was not completely dark.
Now, in the age of drones, it's very easy. You go there, launch the drone and take pictures. However, this photo was taken almost 10 years ago, when drones were not yet tools for photographers. From a tripod, with an SLR camera, from the roof of the Emajõe Business Center, or Plask. In order to get to the roof of Plasku in Tartu at four o'clock in the morning, you had to make arrangements with the building's managers and security guards. And then actually getting there was an opera in itself.
